New Digital Telephone System
Some of you said “it is getting hard to get through on the phone"
We responded to your suggestions and acted on by changing to a more efficient digital telephone system installed and working from 05 March 2021.
We got more telephone lines available on the new telephone system and you will be placed in a queue especially during busy times and will be answered as soon as possible.
All telephone calls are put on triage initially and appointments are given within 24 hours to 48 hours, Monday to Friday.
To avoid waiting in the queue please complete the e-consultation form on this website.
All calls are recorded for monitoring and training purposes.

CORONAVIRUS ALERT – UPDATED 23.03.2020
All patients are being advised to stay at home (self-isolate), regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if they have:
a. A new continuous cough OR
b. High temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)
Individuals should stay at home (self-isolate) for 7 days from the onset of symptoms following the current advice. If someone has serious symptoms they cannot manage at home they should use NHS 111 online (people should only call NHS111 if they cannot get online).
After 7 days of self-isolation, people who feel better and no longer have a high temperature can return to their normal routine. If they have not had any signs of improvement after 7 days and have not already sought medical advice, they should use NHS111 online (people should only call NHS111 if they cannot get online) before they leave their home or let visitors in.
Cough may persist for several weeks in some people, despite the coronavirus infection having cleared. A persistent cough alone does not mean someone must continue to stay at home for more than 7 days.

People who are unable to work more than 7 days due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) can now obtain an Isolation Note through a new online service.
The notes can be accesses through the NHS Website and NHS 111 Online.
After answering a few questions, an Isolation Note will be emailed instantly to the user.
If they don't have an email address, they can have the note sent to a trusted family member or friend, or directly to their employer.
The service can also be used to generate an isolation note on behalf of someone else.
